Yikes!

I'm probably getting my Learners Permit this week. It's scary! :D
I've only driven once and that was in grandpas yard. I sucked. Including spinning the tires. :D I'll get better!

Cincy TOM PETTY SHOW!!!!

Tom Petty and The Heartbreakers-July 15th 2010

I left after Just getting my dog back from his castration. It took nearly an hour and a half to get to the venue, we were at the gate the second it opened so it wasn't too crowded. We walked a bit and went to sit down. You could really sense the tension radiating off of the stage. The roadies and crew were probably a little stressed. The seats slowly filled. When Drive-by Truckers came on I knew they weren't going to be great; neither my dad or I had ever heard them. He had higher hopes of them being good. I didn't like the singers. Their accents were thick and the guitars were too loud, I couldn't even understand what they were saying when they told us their band's name! I didn't like this band. Basically, I used them to figure out how to work my camera. They were the camera test band!

The tension grew stronger in the air and the seats were filling. The roadies, tech, and crew were moving everything around. I have too many pictures of Chinner. (I think that's his name) lol. I was standing on the rail, despite the fact that my seats were third row. I asked the bouncerdudes if it was okay and they said yes. I stood next to a crew that recorded the video for the screens for all of the people behind me. He was goofy; nice though. When The Heartbreakers walked on the stage I was like, “It's them...” in my head. I was just so excited. It was very, very hot out and with all of the nervousness and the heat I felt sick. I started taking as many pictures as I could. Tom, Mike, and Ron all posed for me. Later on in the show I put my camera away a few times. I had a “Straight Into Darkness” sign. I put my arms strait out and clapped a lot; no one else was doing that so I did it. I got two big smiles out of Tom. :) Big Grins lol. I got Mike contact as well. Ron seemed to always think I was taking pictures of him when I was taking pictures of Tom. It was really funny! When I did want a picture of Ron Tom upstaged him. I was too far away to get a decent shot of Scott and I was basically under Benmont's piano so he was VERY hard to get photos of as well. By the time they played “Mary Jane's Last Dance” Tom got the lyrics wrong. He smiled and the crowd cheered and laughed. “Last dance with Mary Jane, one more time to kill the pain, I'm tired of this town again...I feel (Smiles) Summer creeping in.(laughs) continues with song...” Tom goofing up is a dork! :D

The show went amazing. It was incredible. The show ended and Tom was saying goodbye and I was waving toward him and slightly smiling. Little did I know that standing slightly behind him was Steve, trying to get my attention, he was waving at me. When I finally noticed him he grinned and I smiled really big, he waved and I waved back, he turned around and walked off. When they left the stage the feeling coming off of the stage was almost like a relief. It was neat. If you look through the pictures, a funny thing to look at are the people behind who I took pictures of as well. Hee, hee. We walked out and I could barely walk, I'm only about 5' tall so I was standing on my tip-toes a lot. The second we got out walking I felt completely, depressed. I nearly cried on the way home. Nothing really in my life has had that amount of energy and when you go back to “calm” it's very sad. Makes normal life very dull. Dad was annoying me, sounds were sensitive to me and he could barely hear so yeah, he was yelling in my ear on the ride home and had the radio too loud. I was really kinda in a pissy mood. I laid on my bed moping when I got home.

GREAT SHOW!

I was researching Bob for a paper when I came across him explaining a feeling that I have that I could never put into words. Thank you Bob. This really gave me goose bumps. "It's best to keep it inside." That's what I did but I had to post this. Shivers down my spine dude!!
